Your information, explained
Privacy notice
This notice covers gethermy.com, our launch waitlist, developer updates and enquiries. It explains what we collect, why we use it and the choices you have.
Last updated: 10 September 2026
Who is responsible?
Dbos Holding BV operates gethermy.com under the Hermy name and is responsible for the personal information described here. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@gethermy.com.
What we collect and why
Waitlist and developer updates
When you sign up, we collect your email address, your sign-up time and whether you requested developer updates. For a reserved place, we also record payment status, a payment reference, your referral code, any referring code, your position-related history and communication preferences. If you contact us about a pilot, we use the details you choose to provide.
We use these details to manage your place, send the updates you requested and answer your enquiry. Managing a paid reservation is necessary to perform our agreement with you; optional launch and developer news relies on your consent. You do not have to sign up to browse this site. Without an email address, we cannot manage a waitlist place or send updates.
Payments and security
Stripe processes reservation payments. We receive payment references and status information, rather than your full card number. Our waitlist may also retain a card fingerprint supplied by the payment provider and a hashed IP address to detect duplicate or abusive sign-ups. We use this information to operate reservations, prevent abuse and meet applicable accounting obligations.
Hosting and delivery services necessarily process technical connection information, such as an IP address, browser information and request details. Our legitimate interests are keeping the site available, securing it and preventing fraud.
Email enquiries
If you email us, we receive your address, message and any attachments you send. We use them to respond and follow up on your request, based on our legitimate interest in handling enquiries or taking steps towards an agreement with you.
Cookies, local storage and site statistics
Our hosting service, DropTheHassle, provides basic visit statistics without a persistent visitor cookie. These can include the page visited, referral source, approximate country and device category. IP and browser information are used to derive a daily changing identifier for counting visits.
If you accept optional analytics, a first-party cookie called _dthv identifies repeat visits for up to one year. Optional analytics also records click positions and scroll depth to help us understand the layout. It is not a recording of the content you type into our forms. Your choice is stored in dth-consent in your browser’s local storage until you clear or change it.
Referral links can store a hermy_ref cookie for up to 60 days. A referral code may also be kept in local storage until cleared. This helps attribute a sign-up to the person who invited you. Browser storage is device-specific.
You can decline optional analytics and still use the site. The button below withdraws optional analytics consent on this browser, deletes its visitor cookie and reloads the page. Basic cookie-free visit counting continues. You can also clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings.
Who receives information?
We use service providers to host and deliver the website and waitlist, send email and process payments. These include DropTheHassle and its hosting infrastructure, Forward Email for email delivery, and Stripe for payments. They receive the information needed to provide their services. We may also share information when required by law or necessary to establish or defend a legal claim. We do not sell personal information.
Some providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Transfers are subject to the applicable provider arrangements and GDPR transfer requirements, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses where required. You can ask us for details about the safeguards relevant to your information.
If you follow links to Kickstarter, Discord, X or our partners, their services have their own privacy notices. See also Stripe’s privacy policy and Forward Email’s privacy policy.
How long we keep information
We keep waitlist information while managing your active place and related communications. If you withdraw from the list, information no longer needed for that purpose can be removed; payment records or information needed to resolve a dispute may need to be retained for applicable legal obligations. Unsubscribing from optional news does not automatically cancel a paid reservation.
Enquiry correspondence is kept for handling your request and any related follow-up or agreement. Security information is kept for investigating and preventing abuse, and hosting providers apply their own log and backup retention arrangements. Backup copies can remain until the backup is replaced or expires. Contact us if you would like the retention details that apply to your record.
Your rights and choices
Subject to the conditions in data protection law, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict its use, receive a portable copy, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent for optional communications or analytics without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Email info@gethermy.com to make a request. We normally respond within one month. We may need proportionate information to verify that the request concerns your data. You may also complain to the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens or your local data protection authority.
Waitlist ranking is calculated from payment timing and qualifying referrals. If you believe your place or a fraud flag is incorrect, contact us for a human review.
The Hermy robot and Campus
This is the privacy notice for the website and pre-launch services. Hermy and Campus are still in development. Product descriptions explain the intended design; they do not replace the information and choices needed when a device, agent or cloud service is used. Product-specific privacy information will describe the data flows and controls for those services before use.
Changes to this notice
We update this page when our services or data practices change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. For significant changes affecting information you have already shared, we will provide an appropriate notice.
